Most creators, coaches, and service providers don’t struggle because they lack talent.
They struggle because they talk too much about what they do — and not enough about what their audience gets.
We say things like:
“I help people with productivity.”
“I teach fitness and nutrition.”
“I do copywriting for solopreneurs.”
It’s all true.
But that’s not what people buy.
People don’t buy what you do.
They buy who they become after working with you.
Let’s break down how to flip your messaging, so that it finally lands.

🧠 Step 1: Being a Resource Isn’t Enough
You’re doing this from love.
You want to help. You want to serve. You want to be a resource.
But here’s the truth:
🟨 “People don’t follow coaches because of what we are. They follow us because of what they become with us.”
If your message isn’t centered around transformation, it’s not cutting through.
Ask yourself:
What changes for my people because of me?
Who do they become?
What identity are they stepping into?
That’s your real offer. Not the feature. The future.
🏋️♀️ Step 2: Stop Selling the Gym. Sell the Result.
Nobody signs up for a gym because they love dumbbells.
They sign up for how it feels to be strong.
When you talk about your service, ask:
What pain does this remove?
What power does this unlock?
Instead of:
“Join my 8-week health program.”
Try:
“Feel energized, confident, and back in control — in just 8 weeks.”
🟢 Reminder:
Your program is the tool. The transformation is the message.
🔄 Step 3: Flip It — From You → To Them
Here’s a quick test:
Old:
“I help people with fitness and nutrition.”
New:
“You’ll feel stronger, energized, and clear — every single day.”
It’s the same work. But the second version frames their future self.
And that’s where connection begins.

✍️ Step 4: The 4-Word Test
Someone asks what you do. Instead of rattling off your job title… try answering in 4 words:
❌ Not:
“Fitness and nutrition coach.”
✅ Instead:
“Fueling confident, clear lives.”
“Clarity, confidence, every day.”
“Helping bold voices scale.”
Short. Specific. Emotionally charged.
🟨 If your message doesn’t fit on a T-shirt, it’s not yet a brand.
🎯 Step 5: Craft a Tagline That Sticks
If your audience remembers one thing about your brand — what do you want it to be?
Make it:
Emotional
Outcome-driven
Easy to say
Your tagline should sound like something they’d whisper to themselves in a moment of doubt.
Examples:
“Build a business that doesn’t burn you out.”
“From ideas to income.”
“Rewrite your habits. Reclaim your energy.”
You want them to read it and say:
“That’s exactly what I need.”
🧠 TL;DR: From What You Do → To What They Get
Here’s your cheat sheet:
You’ve seen how to shift from what you do → what they get.
Now let’s make it personal — and I’ll reply with feedback.
Try this in the comments:
👉 Before:
I help people with ____
👉 After:
You’ll feel ____ after working with me.
Bonus: What’s your 4-word test tagline?
Let’s sharpen it together.
